I've had that argument with tech support.
But the manuals just keep getting longer.
Some of the new air cooled chillers, I'm getting up around 200 page manuals.
Carrier Comfort Controller, the main manual is almost 700 pages.
So yeah, tech support, sometimes it's faster to call and spend some time arguing about how I should read the manuals, me than it's to sit down in noisy on bucket and try to concentrate on reading War and Peace on my phone screen with the battery at 12% .
Sidenote, ATTENTION ALL MANUFACTURERS, right next to the number you should have QR code that will pull up the docs for that specific unit yeah, yeah, I know some do this.
And not on some bullshit site that needs me to register for access or requires app to access...
