The grant includes $50,000 in tools that will be used by SMART Heroes program.

SMART Heroes program was created by ITI, International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation workers, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, two locals and their training centers Western Washington and Colorado, and Helmets to Hardhats.
Upon discharge from service, these graduates may choose to enter any of SMART apprenticeship programs in United States and be provided direct entry and advanced placement including probability of obtaining second-year apprentice wages and benefits. .
