I purchased this product to avoid having to run the extra wire to my heating AC unit.
I have HVAC system that was buried in the snow, and wanted to install my new sooner than waiting for the snow to melt and the mud to dry up little.
Running new wire would have meant getting in the crawl space underneath my house, and having to open up HVAC unit.
it defeats having to open it all up in the first place.
I'll just have to run the in month or two when the weather cooperates little better..
By it's design and installation procedures, It probably is product judging, and would most work in scenario and just was not going to work for me..
I gave it 4 stars because of the ease of return and to make any other buyers aware they'll need access to the other end of the wire for their thermostat..
